Cleaning throttle body VW Gol G3 1.0

Dear,

Regarding cleaning the throttle body for VW Gol G3, what is the correct step to clean it ?

can I depend on the following:

1- disconnect battery cable

2- remove throttle body and clean it

After re-installing the throttle, is there any risk to face wrong behavior in the RPM and the gaz pedal ? because the computer (ECU) will notice different position for the throttle.
